Worst stretch of The Great Loop. The Tombigbee River is brown. There were no leaves on the trees. Mud everywhere. We anchored in mud. Lines and anchors came up muddy. Tons of logs and crap in the river. I got chased off the shore by an alligator. And, oh yeah… you can hear banjos playing from the trees on the river banks.Mobile, AL was cool. We stayed right on the wall at the convention center. Great rack of lamb. “Civilization” is good.
